From Barbados to Maryland: Archangels Ink Opens First Location in Hyattsville

What started as a Barbados stay has come full circle into a powerful new chapter of Caribbean-connected entrepreneurship. One of our very first Barbados Experience guests has officially opened Archangels Ink, a Black woman-owned tattoo studio located in Hyattsville, Maryland, bringing premium artistry, intention, and community into a space that’s often underserved.
After spending time in Barbados months ago — where we first connected and captured photos together — she’s now launched her own brick-and-mortar studio in the DMV area, creating opportunities not just for herself, but for other tattoo artists as well.
